Northern California water parks to check out for summer 2023

The former Raging Waters site at Cal Expo is closed for the season as a new operator works to renovate the water park in Sacramento County.

For those who love water parks, there are plenty of other options to check out in Northern California and the San Francisco Bay Area.

Here's a look at water parks to visit this summer.

The Great Wolf Lodge boasts a 95,000-square-foot indoor water park, as well as an adventure park and themed suites where you can stay overnight. The park includes a four-story treehouse with slides, a lazy river, a basketball water playground and more. Learn more here.

Velocity Island Park's "Pirates Cove" features a floating obstacle course with 30,000 square feet of slides, swings and more. There's also a wakeboard park where you can get lessons and a swimming beach. Learn more here.

If you want mini-golf and arcade games along with water slides, you can visit Golfland Sunsplash in Roseville. Besides slides and a "water coaster," Golfland Sunsplash has an "adventure island" for kids and a wave pool. There's also a Golfland in San Jose.
